What Your Offering Is Used For

Bringing our offerings before the Lord is a sacred expression of worship that directly fuels the compassionate work of His kingdom. In the scriptures, the collection of offerings has always been tied to the execution of good deeds and the care of the vulnerable. The Apostle Paul emphasized this in 2 Corinthians 9:12, noting that the administration of holy service not only supplies the needs of the saints but also overflows in many expressions of thanks to God. When we give our offerings cheerfully, we are providing the practical resources required to extend unconditional outreach to broken families, feed souls daily, and pull captives out of foundational systemic bondages. Our gifts cease to be mere financial transactions and instead become the very hands and feet of Christ, active in doing good throughout our communities.

This model of collaborative generosity is beautifully illustrated by the early Church in the book of Acts, where personal offerings directly eradicated poverty within the body of believers. Acts 4:34-35 declares, "Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, and laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need." By releasing their resources into a unified storehouse, they ensured that communal contributions were shared transparently with the needy, creating a supernatural environment where economic lack could not survive. When we follow this apostolic template today, our combined offerings become an instrument of deliverance, ensuring that no one stands alone and that the structural pillars of God's house remain strong enough to shelter every weary soul.
